Sofia Vergara Wants Sophia Loren as Her Modern Mama

Recently, Eric Stonestreet has started his campaign for Delta Burke to be Fizbo's mama.  Talk about "Modern Family" mamas, when Sofia Vergara was asked by TV Guide Magazine who her mama would be, Sophia Loren was her answer without any doubts.  To see why, William Keck has the answer.

Jason Winer and Eric Stonestreet Projects Outside of Modern Family

Jason Winer and Eric Stonestreet are going to be busy outside of "Modern Family".

Eric Stonestreet, our Fizbo and star of The Cam Show has joined the cast of "Bad Teacher", a Jake Kasdan comedy.  The Wrap tells us:

For his part, after a decade of side roles in features including "Almost Famous" and TV shows like "CSI," Stonestreet broke out this past television season on ABC's "Modern Family," playing the cherubic gay son-in-law to Ed O'Neill.

Jason Winer, as you know, has directed around 10 episodes for "Modern Family".  He recently won a DGA Award for his work on the pilot. Now, he is set to direct "Arthur", who originally stars Dudley Moore.  Larry Brezner, Kevin McCormick and Chris Bender are the producers, Scott Kroopf, J.C. Spink, Brand and Nik Linnen are executive producers.

Modern Family Scoop - Fizbo Flashback!

Here is a scoop from Mickey O'Connor:

Any Modern Family scoop? — Paula and Rob

MICKEY: Lots actually! The cast spilled their guts to us during a visit to the Los Angeles set. Oddly, their teases all involved undressing. "Cameron challenges Jay to a racquetball match and their butts might touch in the locker room," Eric Stonestreet reports. Meanwhile, Jesse Tyler Ferguson indicated that Mitchell "might end up in an article of clothing that is not mine" — and doesn't belong to any other male cast member either. Julie Bowen keeps it simple: "Naked, hotel lobby and flying underwear — just chew on that for a while." Not enough? How about this? Fizbo flashback!

The touching of butts I'm sure happens on the episode, "Moon Landing".  The rest of the details Eric revealed, we still need to wait a little while for the official promo releases by ABC.

Watch Out for Another Fizbo Appearance!

I like this scoop for the start of 2010.  I miss Fizbo and I know that you guys miss him too.  He's so colorful, funny, and entertaining.  I wonder what type of entertainment he will show us this year and how amazing he will be on his next appearance.  Here's the scoop from Korbi TV:

Any scoop on my favorite "Modern Family" man Cameron? -Jenna

Look forward to another appearance from Fizbo the Clown. We'll be seeing him again. I know for sure that Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will flash back to a Fizbo escapade of yesteryear later this season. He'll also be spending some quality alone time with Gloria (Sofia Vergara) soon, and the pair will be able to talk about the bizarre family they both married into.

Eric Stonestreet is Not on the Golden Globes?

I strongly agree that Eric Stonestreet, our Cameron, should be included in the nominations list for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.  He's exceptionally funny, so gay and graceful knowing that he's straight, and well, he's a great actor.  I remember his Fizbo character.  No one is as good as him dressed as a clown with of course the make up.  He can be both the kids' clown or a notorious clown in the parking lot.  Remember that scene?  What else can I say?  I hope he will be recognized next time.

Eric Stonestreet and Cameron's Dream to be a Clown

Let's all take a look into Eric Stonestreet's interview with the Showtracker at L.A. Times to learn of the clown-filled past of Cameron.  On Nov. 25, don't miss "Fizbo" on Modern Family on ABC.  Here are some of the segments in the said interview:

You’ve said before that you base Cameron off of your own mother; what’s your fondest memory of her where you think, “That’s a Cameron moment?”

There’s a single moment in the pilot episode where it was this inspiration. When I walk in and see the mural that’s panted (in Lily’s featuring Mitchell and Cameron as Michaelangelo-esque naked angels with carefully placed drapery). The script said, “Cameron gasps” but all I could hear was my mom. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard my mother say, “Ohhh, my God.” I told my mom you’re gonna be happy to know that I got the part, and that I based it off you and there was that “Ohhh, my God!!”  It’s not as much based on her, it's just an anchor in something that’s familiar. Lots of actors do that with characters. She was the easiest and most forward thing in my mind, her mannerisms and her body language.

Soon we get to see Cameron show his skills as a clown, which I understand taps into your background.
I wanted to be a clown as a kid. That’s very well documented, you’ll even see some old pictures of me. By 5 I was wearing clown shoes and makeup. My birthday is in September, and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey always came to town. I was always fascinated by clowns. When it was explained to me that they were people in makeup, it made perfect sense to me. That’s what I wanted to do.

Where are you hoping the writers take Cameron in the future?
I think they are so good. They have the difficult job. It’s hard for me to sorta say. I like that they take Cameron and Mitchell in a way that wasn’t stereotypical. We’re a comedy, we’re making a comedy, and stereotypes are going to make their way in. But I think what is great is that Jesse (Tyler Ferguson, plays Mitchell) and I are very conscious are spinning those roles on their head. I just love the idea of creating a well-rounded, versatile character.

Cameron’s always so fashionable. His button-ups are to die for. What store would Cameron be spending all his hard on money at?

[Laughs] It’s funny. I think all his shirts would be custom made. Cameron would have his own tailor. I think his tailor would call him each week and tell him to come over. The budget of 20th Century Fox says his shirts come from Macy’s. It’s one of the biggest highlights of my day … seeing what he will wear.

There has already been an impressive stable of guest stars with Shelley Long, Edward Norton (appearing with Elizabeth Banks in tonight’s episode) and now Minnie Driver. Who’s on your wish list?

If I could pick one person to play Cameron’s mom, my dream would be Kathy Bates. Her as my mom from the farm and being the loving supporting mom would be incredible. I have no idea if TV is on Kathy Bates’ radar. They are so good to get great people. But I hope they keep finding great unknown people. I can sympathize with them. Going out for roles and not getting them in favor of someone more famous. That was me eight months ago.
