Our comedy Wednesday's family, Modern Family TV series is nominated in the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for the category Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. A show that is so new, fresh, yet funny, natural, and practical. Not all new shows are given a chance to reach this point, not to mention that this is a comedy show. Modern Family is not just pure luck but it is a pool of talents that make viewers laugh their hearts out. The difference of this award giving body is that, actors in their own field are also the ones who vote on who gets to win. Congratulations to Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan for this nomination.

This is really good news for Modern Family TV series fans out there. It is nominated for the category Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical. It's rivals are 30 Rock (NBC), Glee (FOX), Entourage (HBO), and The Office (NBC). As you all know, this mockumentary only started this fall but it has managed to be included in the nominations list together with some shows that have been on air long before. I wish Modern Family shines on the Golden Globe Awards.

Fred Willard, an actor of the Best in Show and For Your Consideration, will visit our Modern Family as Ty Burrell's (Phil's) father.
According to Ty Burrell during the casting call:
“Fred is not just a pioneer for this type of comedy, but somebody who has really set the
tone for how it can be done, so it was just a total honor [to work with him]. He really
established, even going back to Spinal Tap, some of the funniest stuff out of the medium.”
Fred Willard, is among the list of impressive Modern Family guest stars, including Shelley Long, Elizabeth Banks, Edward Norton, Benjamin Bratt, Chazz Palmenteri and Minnie Driver.

Minnie Driver will play the long time friend that gets in touch with Julie Bowen (Claire). This will be on one of the episodes come January 2010. The Ripple Effect, Good Will Hunting, X Files, are some of the movies of this woman who has Irish, Scottish, Italian and French ancestry. I can't wait for her to do comedy stints here in Modern Family. Surely an episode to look forward to. Stay hooked for more spoilers.
